Upper Portclew House is a 5 bedroom Georgian property, situated in the quiet conservation area of Portclew, just outside the village of Freshwater East, in the Pembrokeshire National Park. It is within close proximity of a working farm and only 0.5 miles from the popular Freshwater East beach and the Pembrokeshire Coast Path.
Freshwater East beach has recently been honoured with a Green Coast award for its unspoilt environment, high quality water and it is dog friendly. The Pembrokeshire Coast Path offers walkers the chance to experience 186 miles of extraordinary coastline on foot or just admire the stunning views.
We offer high quality accommodation. Al three letting rooms have been recently renovated and finished to a high standard. Bedroom One boasts a sea view. All the bathrooms have under floor heating. Bedroom Three is our Deluxe room with a four- poster bed and a large walk- in shower.
The breakfast room overlooks the garden and is available for use at any time. Our scrumptious breakfasts, including vegetarian options, are freshly prepared using locally sourced produce where possible. Please let us know if you have any dietary requirements and we will endeavour to accommodate your needs.
There is ample private parking on the premises and we welcome dogs for a £5 per night. We boast large attractive established gardens and a small secure paddock which guests are welcome to use.
Tea and cake are offered on your arrival, picnic lunches on request at a cost of £5 per person and a luggage forwarding service if required. We have a drying room that is perfect for muddy boots and dogs in the winter months. We can safely store bicycles and surf boards.
The B&B is within walking distance of two local pubs, The Freshwater Inn, which is open in the summer and Jacks at The Longhouse is open all year. The nearby village of Lamphey is approximately a mile away with a convenience store and restaurant.
